A method to obtain the best uniform polynomial approximation for the family of rational function
In this article, by using Chebyshev’s polynomials and Chebyshev’s expansion, we obtain the best uniform polynomial approximation out of P2n to a class of rational functions of the form (ax2+c)-1 on any non symmetric interval [d,e]. Using the obtained approximation, we provide the best uniform polynomial approximation to a class of rational functions of the form (ax2+bx+c)-1 for both cases b2-4a...
متن کاملExact bivariate polynomial factorization over ℚ by approximation of roots
Factorization of polynomials is one of the foundations of symbolic computation. Its applications arise in numerous branches of mathematics and other sciences. However, the present advanced programming languages such as C++ and J++, do not support symbolic computation directly. Hence, it leads to difficulties in applying factorization in engineering fields. In this paper, we present an algorithm...
متن کاملThe best uniform polynomial approximation of two classes of rational functions
In this paper we obtain the explicit form of the best uniform polynomial approximations out of Pn of two classes of rational functions using properties of Chebyshev polynomials. In this way we present some new theorems and lemmas. Some examples will be given to support the results.
متن کاملSimultaneous Approximation by a Polynomial and Its Derivatives
Theorem. If fo is a continuous function on a compact set C without interior and with connected complement of the complex plane, and if fi, • • ■ i fn are continuous functions on a compact totally disconnected subset E of C, then there exists a sequence {pi} of polynomials such that pi-^fo uniformly on C as i—* , and pim—*fk uniformly on E as i—>», for lslk^n, where pi[k] is the kth derivativ...
متن کاملHigh order approximation of rational curves by polynomial curves
We show that many rational parametric curves can be interpolated, in a Hermite sense, by polynomial curves whose degree, relative to the number of data being interpolated, is lower than usual. The construction unifies and generalizes the families of circle and conic approximations of Lyche and Mørken and the author in which the approximation order is twice the degree of the polynomial.
